The veteran broadcaster Sean Plunket will MC a dedicated session in Auckland next month on 2 June, at which arbitration-related issues concerning the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, and other ways in which commercial disputes are settled, will be explained and explored.
The half-day AMINZ event features an array of top-level speakers, including international arbitrator, David A R Williams, QC Auckland barrister Simon Foote, international trade expert Stephanie Honey and Charles Finny, the former trade negotiator who now works in government relations for Saunders Unsworth.
The session includes topical discussions and relevant news—and of course the opportunity to network.
It will give professionals a deeper understanding of how disputes would be handled under the terms of the historic trade deal and other existing international agreements.
It will be an essential event for lawyers and business people needing to know about resolving international disputes. And the session not only covers the recently signed TPPA and its linchpin Investor State Dispute Settlement process, but also WTO and diplomacy in general.
